WHOF (101.7 FM) — branded My 101.7 — is a commercial FM radio station serving Akron/Canton, Ohio, licensed to the suburb of North Canton. It is part of the Clear Channel Akron/Canton cluster, along with WARF, WHLO, WKDD, and WRQK-FM.

Prior to 2007, the station operated as WJER-FM out of Dover and served the Tuscarawas County area starting in 1969. 101.7 was also home to WFAH-FM Alliance, Ohio from about 1950-68.That station moved to 92.5 FM and is now WDJQ. WHOF-101.7 is currently owned by Clear Channel Communications.

On April 14, 2006, the Federal Communications Commission approved Clear Channel's request to move WJER-FM's community of license to North Canton, Ohio[1]. The new location was intended to provide coverage to all of the urban Canton area, and to allow WJER-FM to increase its power by three kilowatts.

In the meantime, former WJER owner Gary Petricola had operated both 101.7 FM and 1450 AM in a reverse LMA with Clear Channel. On December 20, 2006, it was announced that Clear Channel had agreed to sell WJER-AM for $200,000 to a newly formed LLC titled WJER Radio LLC. The LLC is 100% controlled by Petricola. WJER-FM signed off on December 27.

Clear Channel then filed to change the call letters of the FM facility to WHOF, as Canton is the "Hall of Fame City." Those calls previously were on the 1060-AM facility in the early 1960s.

After much speculation with regard to a new format, WHOF re-launched as "my 101.7" on January 16, 2007, at 4:00 p.m. WHOF's new format is adult contemporary, to compete with "Mix 94.1" WHBC-FM. The first song played was "My Life" by Billy Joel.
