Is the text at the bottom of the introduction appropriate? It seems like the last few lines are somewhat advertise-y. Could someone more experienced help? 60.242.31.143 08:56, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As I recall, The Colbert Report has occasionally had G.W.Bush-related segments with the banner 'Ministry of Truth.' Finding a few examples might expand the section a bit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.202.27.131 (talk) 21:21, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Music

If Minitru is indeed involved with the production of music, could this be given more of a mention in the article? As I recall, the music for the proles is written entirely by machine. Some guy (talk) 01:02, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Minitru in Action - is Wikipedia any different?

I've had an ongoing battle with administrators constantly removing pages that in all objectivity are no different to countless others...and yet these others from large corporations appear to remain unchallenged. If I know what is going on with my highly specialised and technical area, how can I know what else is being filtered out from areas I don't know as well.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Liampaulmurphy (talkcontribs)

This has nothing to do with this article, Ministry of Truth. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 08:19, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Of course it has something to do with this article - it's questioning if this system is itself a concrete example of what Orwell was writing about... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.91.203.120 (talk) 08:13, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there no way to read the old article with a warning like "This article has been deleted in current Wikipedia version as it doesn't match current Wikipedia quality standards." Ericd (talk) 22:50, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese Ministry of Truth

There is a Chinese blog called Zhenlibu which translated gives the name "Ministry of Truth". This blog reports on the official decrees of the ministry of propaganda within China and how those affect the media. It's especially interesting because it sometimes has internal documents describing exactly what the media can and cannot report on. I think this should be mentioned somewhere in this article, although I'm not sure how to do it. Anawrahta (talk) 16:55, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
