Hi there, I grew up in the Seattle area, but am now a resident of the East Coast. I've always enjoyed reading novels, one of which, The Heart of the Matter, was the inspiration for this user name. Looking forward to working with other editors and contributing to articles of interest to me.
As a member and editor I’m relatively new to Wikipedia, but have been using it as a resource for several years now. Before making my first edits I have read over material in the guides How Wikipedia Works and Help:Wikipedia:_The_Missing_Manual and have also taken time to review Wikipedia’s standards and policies. In the spirit of WP:Bold, I will be going forward with minor edits and will always try to reach WP:Consensus with any larger edits by providing drafts of my revisions for other editors to review. I will also make sure I adhere to WP:RS. I look forward to collaborating on articles with other Wikipedians and happy editing!
Having made some initial minor edits and gone over and familiarized myself with Wikipedia’s policies concerning WP:NPOV, WP:Undue weight, WP:RS, WP:Original research, and WP:COI, I believe it is in the interest of full disclosure that I discuss any potential bias upfront so that other editors may better evaluate my ongoing revisions and contributions. Chicago Parking Meters is a client of my employer and I will therefore keep Wikipedia’s standard’s and policies at the fore when engaging in revisions on related subjects and as I noted above, will always seek WP:Consensus on any major edits by allowing other editors time to review and comment on my proposed revisions and only moving forward with edits after reaching adequate consensus.
