Alveston F.C. is English association football club based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. They were established in 1927. In 1993, they joined the Midland Football Combination Division Three. Currently they are members of the Midland Football Combination Premier Division.

History

Alveston F.C. was formed in 1924 after an earlier club of the same name folded. The new team immediately joined the Stratford Alliance, where they were to play for nearly 70 years.

In 1993 Alveston applied to join the Midland Football Combination and were accepted into Division Three, where, despite only finishing in sixth position, they were promoted at the first attempt. They followed this up by gaining a second successive promotion in 1995, and in 1998 claimed the Division One title to gain promotion to the Premier Division. In 1998–99, their first season in the Premier Division, they were crowned champions.

Since then, Alveston have had mixed fortunes with the re-formation of a hugely successful Junior section with now 12 teams including a Girls Team and the First Team find themselves with a new squad of mainly young players under the guidance of Player Manager Tom Coles.

Plans for the club, which include the First & Reserve teams, Junior teams all the way through from 7 to Men and Girls teams are now well established which will provide a strong financial and business footing so that the club can progress successfully both on and off the pitch.[4]
