- Evidence
- Oschaper (talk · contribs) created both the pages Peephole TV (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) and Volksmusik TV (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), with the second article also being created on the German Wikipedia by a user with the same name. The user doesn't really understand Wikipedia, and only edits these two articles, and once, Hanomag. On all occasions, the edits smack of self-promotion and advertising. I have since nominated both articles for deletion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Peephole TV and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Volksmusik TV. Since then, a new account, Whereismycardude (talk · contribs) has been created and two IP addresses have expressed their opinion on both AFDs, at [1] and [2]. These edits are in my opinion extremely suspect, and are in roughly the same 'edit timezone', that is, 0400-0700 and 1600-1800, GMT. In additions, the IPs, although possible unrelated, have never edited before and know a lot about the channels, and both belong to Sprint PCS (see [3] and [4]).
- Comments
- Please remember to notify all accounts listed as possibly linked to the sock puppetry in question (instructions).
- Conclusions
- Editing style and areas are way too similar for this to not be the same person. As you noted, they're all obviously from the same timezone and the IP edits indicate they are from the same area as well.
- Blocks applied:
- Oschaper (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) blocked two weeks for abusing multiple accounts and incivility.
- Whereismycardude (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet account.
- 70.1.174.14 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) and 174.145.128.163 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) both blocked one week as sockpuppet IP addresses on a shared network.
