Template:Infobox nutrition facts Oreo O's was a cereal made by Post. The cereal consisted of Oreo flavored O's with white sprinkles.

A variation of Oreo O's called Extreme Creme Taste Oreo O's contained Oreo filling flavored marshmallows. [citation needed].

The cereal was launched in 1998 and discontinued in 2007.[citation needed]

Discontinuation

According to an email from consumer relations, the product was discontinued in 2007. However, it is still available in some countries, such as South Korea. The discontinuation occurred after the merger of Post Cereals and Ralcorp Holdings into Post Foods, LLC.

There are many rumors about why Oreo O's were discontinued, such as lack of nutritional value or traces of nicotine in the cereal. The most likely reason though is when Kraft (the company that produces and sells Oreo's) and Post separated some time in 2007-2008, it was unclear which company has rights to the cereal. Kraft sold the rights to the Oreo O's recipe to Post, however Kraft still owns the Oreo trademark. Kraft cannot sell the cereal because they do not have the recipe and Post cannot sell it because they do not have the rights to the Oreo trademark. Either company would risk a law suit if they were to start selling Oreo O's again, therefore it would not be worth producing again.[citation needed]

Future of Oreo O's

According to a corporate worker at Post Cereals[citation needed], there may be a chance of putting Oreo O's back on the market. If Post and Kraft were to schedule a meeting to renegotiate the rights to the cereal, Post or Kraft could start selling Oreo O's once more.

It should be noted that a brand of cereal produced by Post called Oreo Os is sold in Korea [1]
