Shahdara Bagh
Shahdara Bagh, is a northern suburb of Lahore, Pakistan. It is situated on the northern side of the Ravi River.
Shahdara means Shah (King) and dara means the way of kings. In the 15th century it was the gate entrance of the Lahore and Mughal Emperor. It is famous for two historic Mughal architectural sites, Mughal gardens, and tombs of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir, his wife Empress Nur Jehan and his brother-in-law Abdul Hasan Asaf Khan.
shahdara lahore is situated very near to ravi river. some area of shahdara is in shekhupara and other part of it,s in lahore. shahdara starts from rana town to toll plaza of ravi river. there are two interchanges of motorway also connecting to shahdara. famous areas of shahdara are farakhabad, saeed park, chaman colony, maqbara more, shahdara more, begum kot, g t road, govt college shahdara, paradise institute of commerce, ferozwala kachehri, kot thakar das, kot shahab din, lajpat road, daulat khan road, wandala road, machis factory, imamia colony, rachna town, university of engineering and technology and rana town.

Present day Shahdara is a busy suburban town with a major market and stalls. It has two parts, an old town and a new town. It has its own railway station that links it to Lahore and other cities. The M-2 Motorway, and N-5 GT Road pass through it, linking Lahore to northern Pakistan. The most famous area in Shahdara Bagh is Mahmood Shaheed Road (Lajpat Road) which is located near the Shadara Bagh Railway Station.
