Turvashas

The Turvashas (Sanskrit: तुर्वश, Turvaśa) were one of the five Indo-Aryan tribes (panchajana, panchakrishtya or panchamanusha) mentioned in the Rig Veda[1] and later texts. They lived southeast of the Sarasvati region.

The Tooras of Punjab are believed to be descendants of the Turvashas.
