Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with this edit to Brad Weber. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. SeaphotoTalk 05:56, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Brad Weber. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. SeaphotoTalk 05:58, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article userfied

Further to your email, I've moved your article to a sub-page of your userspace. It can now be found at User:Nicweber/Sandbox. You should be able to continue its development there without risk of deletion until it's ready to be moved into the encyclopedia mainspace (you'll see a "Move" tab at the top of the page - when you're ready please use this rather than a copy/paste, which would break our copyright and licensing conditions).

If I can respectfully offer some advice that might prevent future disappointment: at the moment the article doesn't indicate why Brad Weber should have an article on an encyclopedia. Wikipedia isn't a web directory or an alternative to facebook - there has to be a reason why we'd want to record and preserve information about Mr Weber. In Wikipedia terms this is called "notability". It's not the same thing as "famous" or even "important", but it means "are there enough third-party independent reliable sources about Brad Weber that we can use them to produce a decent article?". At the moment the article has no suitable sources; Bloody Drum Knuckles is a blog, his website is self-published and therefore not independent, and the other two are not about Mr Weber (and don't qualify as RS's in any case). I also noticed your comment about youtube on the deleted talk page - please be really careful about youtube links, because most of them are copyright violations and we tend to remove them on sight.

To help musicians and bands decide if they are notable enough in Wikipedia terms to have an article, we've produced a checklist here. This is the list your article will be assessed against; if you find when you read the list that Mr Weber doesn't meet any of the criteria, you must accept that the article will be deleted again.

As a final point, your username indicates that you might be involved in some way with the article subject. We generally discourage editors with a conflict of interest from writing about things they're personally involved with - partly because it can make detached, neutral, non-promotional editing difficult, and partly because we find such editors tend to get upset when other editors add information to the article that they don't like (for example, reliably-sourced but negative content).

Anyhow, I wish you well with developing the article, and hope the above advice is useful to you. EyeSerenetalk 17:16, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy delete tags

Why are you adding speedy delete tags to articles that clearly do not warrant them, like the one in my watchlist, Hicham Aaboubou? I don't understand your intention. JonBroxton (talk) 23:06, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded. Please stop abusing the speedy deletion process. Use WP:AFD where appropriate. -- œ 00:30, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked for disruptive behaviour. PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 00:52, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Nicweber.
