Season 1

  1. My First Day (aka Pilot) — J.D. and the rest of the interns begin their first day at Sacred Heart. J.D. does his first night on-call, and realizes that Dr. Cox is much nicer and helpful than Dr. Kelso, and that he has feelings for Elliot.
  2. My Mentor — J.D. tries to get to know Dr. Cox. Elliot gets on the wrong side of Carla.
  3. My Best Friend's Mistake — Elliot takes issue with the endearments Dr. Kelso uses on her, but naively follows Dr. Cox's advice and confronts him over it. J.D. begins to miss Turk's company with how busy both of them are; however J.D. suspects a post-op reaction with a patient just out of surgery might have something to do with him. Elliot and J.D. seem to be getting close, but an interruption might make the difference between being friends and something more than that.
  4. My Old Lady — The three interns have to face death for the first time: J.D.'s patient is a headstrong but kindly old woman, Turk's is a young man who just needs some company, and Elliot's is a Spanish woman who speaks no English. Elliot and Carla, despite a bad beginning, start to become more friendly, until Elliot's anxiety gets the better of her.
  5. My Two Dads — J.D. has to decide between viewing Dr. Cox or Dr. Kelso as a mentor: the decision isn't made any easier when all three, along with Dr. Kelso's lapdog Dr. Steadman, play a game of golf together. Elliot believes her breasts to have healing powers, and in order to make up to Carla, Turk gifts her a pen that unbeknownst to him was previously removed from a patient's rectum. Dr. Cox's actions to prove a point earn him a suspension. Cameo appearance from Louie Anderson.
  6. My Bad — Dr. Cox's suspension puts his future at the hospital in doubt. Elliot discovers her patient, Dr. Greenburg, is a therapist. J.D. is given a self-absorbed board member to care for, who, after he has to put his foot down against her dismissive whims, is turned on enough to have sex with him. He finds out later that she's actually Dr. Cox's ex-wife, Jordan. Cameo appearance from Jimmie Walker. J.D. also resolves to halt Dr. Cox's suspension, with the help of Jordan.
  7. My Super Ego — J.D. is brought down a couple of pegs by another intern.
  8. My Fifteen Minutes — J.D. and Turk save the life of a TV cameraman. Afterwards much publicity is placed on the duo, especially Turk. Dr. Kelso decides to take advantage of this and advertise Dr. Turk. Cox is supposed to write J.D.'s intern evaluation but tells J.D. to do it himself.
  9. My Day Off — J.D. develops appendicitis, on Thanksgiving, his day off, and sees the hospital from the patients' point of view. Elliot and Turk are his intern and surgical intern respectively.
  10. My Nickname — J.D. and Carla's relationship changes when he starts to have more medical knowledge than her. Elliot treats Jill, a patient who's just as nervous and neurotic as herself: Dr. Cox is less than impressed.
  11. My Own Personal Jesus — Turk loses his Christmas spirit after spending a night on call on Christmas Eve.
  12. My Blind Date — J.D. is tasked with looking after a social worker who slipped and fell in the hospital. She is stuck in an MRI machine and he asks her out without seeing her face. Elliott tries to gain Dr. Cox's favour the way J.D. has. After experiencing relationship problems, Turk tells Carla his feelings for her.
  13. My Balancing Act — J.D. and the social worker, Alex, are going out. However they are continually interrupted by the hospital. Turk and Carla experience bedroom-related problems.
  14. My Drug Buddy — A patient is suspected of stealing drugs; Alex is his social worker. Elliott tells J.D. that she thinks Alex will hurt him and J.D. accuses her of being jealous. When he finds out that it was Alex who stole the drugs he apologises to Elliott, who reveals that she was jealous.

  16. My Heavy Meddle — J.D. and Elliot are not talking to each other after breaking up. Dr. Cox goes on the rampage.
  17. My Student — The interns receive their first interns, each of whom is very different. J.D.'s is very much like he was at the beginning; Elliot's is a jerk but the son of the CEO of the corporation that owns the hospital; Turk's is a smart confident woman who Dr. Cox finds he's attracted to. Guest-stars Kelli Williams as Kristen Murphy.

A series of paperwork bungles nearly has Turk operate on the wrong patient, and has Elliot incorrectly inform Jill that she's pregnant. Further tests diagnose Ben with leukemia:. J.D. is initially unable to accept this. Guest-stars Brendan Fraser as Ben Sullivan.
  23. My Hero (Part 2) — Ted introduces J.D. to his acapella band, but J.D. is a little too spooked by the janitor knowing far too much about him. Ben seems to be taking the bad news of his leukemia rather well: however Dr. Cox is not, and as Ben begins treatment for it, Dr. Cox later admits to J.D. he is unable to be there simply because he loves Ben too much. Turk's ego takes a hit from the attending surgeon Dr. Wen, and Carla and Elliot scorch Dr. Kelso in a personal review.
  24. My Last Day — The interns realise they have become the jaded doctors they said they never would; they decide to break the deadlock by tackling a patient's issue together on different fronts. To their surprise, Dr. Cox agrees and Dr. Kelso gives his assent, and after Dr. Cox chides Jordan for her predictability, she goes the final mile for them. Jordan further follows Dr. Cox's advice and ends the episode by dropping a bombshell.

My Case Study — Dr. Kelso starts an impromptu competition with the residents, offering an all-expenses-paid medcial conference outing in Reno if they can bring him the most interesting case study: J.D. is torn to compete and to keep in Dr. Cox's favour by not doing so. Another competiton begins when the entire hosptal takes advantage of Dr Kelso's annual good mood the next day. Elliot worries that she isn't getting on well with Carla.

Guest-stars Richard Kind as Mr. Corman.

  20. My Interpretation — J.D. attends the funeral of the TCW's husband, with predictable results. Turk has a sex-dream about Elliot, but Carla finds out about it. Dr. Cox's impression of Jordan's baby continues to slide rapidly downhill.
  21. My Drama Queen — J.D.'s relationship with the TCW takes a few interesting twists when Elliot correctly identifies her as a drama queen. Carla's mother dies. Dr. Cox is stuck with Ted in teaching polite doctor-patient relations after having Dr. Kelso witness a particularly acidic tongue-lashing of his at a patient.
  22. My Dream Job — The end of the second year has the residents somewhat bored with the monotony of their jobs, until an old college buddy of J.D. and Turk's turns up, and accidentally reveals to Dr. Cox that Jordan's baby is also his; further antics have them both dismissed from their on-call shifts when they arrive after drinking. As Dr. Kelso attempts to break Elliott's spirit, Dr. Cox tries to cope with the shock that he's a father, but Jordan can't lose him again after just getting him back. Cox eventually confesses to J.D. that he isn't angry at Jordan for lying to him; he's scared that he'll be a bad father. J.D. reassures Cox, pointing out how everyone at the hospital looks up to him, and the way he disciplined him and Turk for drinking on a work night. This prompts Cox to intervene when he sees Kelso publicly humiliating Elliott. Guest-stars Ryan Reynolds as Spence.

Season 3

  1. My American Girl — J.D, Turk, and Carla work together to find out what is wrong with one of J.D.'s patients. Elliot, frustrated that everyone walks all over her, and desperately needing to change her bad-luck streak, acts on some advice from the janitor and gets a make-over.

Elliot gets back with her ex-boyfriend Sean, but the relationship has a rocky start. Carla is obsessed over finding whose urine is in an unmarked container she comes across.
  3. My White Whale — Jordan and Dr. Cox worry about a slight cough their son has and try to get him seen by the hospital's own paediatrician, who is just as obnoxious as Dr. Cox is. The residents get their own interns: Turk is too firm, J.D. isn't firm enough, and Elliot is a mix of both, especially when Dr. Kelso compares the clumsiness of one of them to her own. Guest-stars Christopher Meloni as Dr. Dave Norris.
  4. My Lucky Night — J.D. distracts the janitor and Troy with a riddle. Dr. Cox and Dr. Steadman compete for the same promotion for the residency director position. Carla gets to work with Turk when she covers for one of the surgical nurses, annoying him yet also apparently inspiring his work. Sean and Elliot's relationship hits rocky ground, and they virtually break up; J.D. grabs this opportunity to try to tell her of his growing hidden feelings for her.
  5. My Brother, Where Art Thou? - Dan drops by again, impressing J.D. no end, only he's concerned at the cynical attitude he's developed towards his patients: much like Dr. Cox himself. Dr. Kelso catches Elliot and Carla moonlighting at an animal hospital after his recent warnings against such. Dan later confronts Dr. Cox.
  6. My Advice to You — Carla's brother Marco drops by, immediately rekindling the mutual dislike with Turk. The residents are confused by conflicting directions given by Dr. Cox and Dr. Kelso over patient care. J.D. gets friendly with a girl who's as mentally warped as he is, only to find out later she's actually Jordan's sister. Guest-stars Tara Reid as Danni Sullivan.
  7. My Fifteen Seconds — J.D. and Danni hook up: Dr Cox, rather annoyed, lets slip in front of her J.D. slept with Jordan, to a rocky reaction; they also nearly don't catch the real reason Jill has returned to the hospital due to disinterest. Dr. Kelso goes temporarily deaf after using cheap stethoscopes, and Carla's medical advice to Elliot doesn't go as planned. Cameo appearance by Erik Estrada.
  8. My Friend the Doctor — Dr. Cox badly hurts his back showing off in front of Turk; he begins to realise he's not as young as he used to be. Elliot worries that still doesn't consider herself a doctor. J.D. isn't impressed with the false personalities the janitor uses on the rest of the staff, until he recognises him playing a transit policeman watching The Fugitive one night (which actually happened in real life).
  9. My Dirty Secret — Elliot admits she a problem saying 'dirty words' for the human body after accidentally giving a patient an orgasm during a pelvic examination. 10. My Rule of Thumb — Elliot and Carla get arrested looking for a gigolo for a terminally-ill patient. Danni asks J.D. if she could stay at his place after walking in on her sister and Dr. Cox, but J.D. starts having second thoughts almost immediately after initially agreeing. Dr. Cox and Turk's clash over a liver transplant situation turns rather personal.
  11. My Clean Break - When Danni has plans for her and J.D. to move into a place together, J.D. immediately realises he needs to break up with her - only he's never actually done it before. The janitor starts flirting with Elliot again. Dr. Cox realises that by losing his fearful influence over his residents, he may have lost control over them.
  12. My Catalyst — An old fellow intern of Dr. Cox's who's now an attending, and also a competent surgeon, makes quite a few impressions at the hospital - least of all because he has OCD. Guest-stars Michael J. Fox as Dr. Kevin Casey.
  13. My Porcelain God — Dr. Casey and J.D discover the janitor's toilet on the roof-top (dubbed the Epiphany toilet); it warrants the name after many of the staff realise solutions to the problems they're having after using it. Dr. Kelso closes down an entire wing of the hospital to save money: Dr. Cox and Carla fight back by using his own office as a room. Turk asks J.D. to be his best man, but he realises later he wasn't Turk's first choice. Elliot seeks help from Dr. Casey for interbating patients after becoming fearful to do another after botching one.
  14. My Screw Up — Jordan, Danni and Ben return to help prepare a gathering for Dr. Cox's son's first birthday. Turk and Carla clash over removing Turk's mole, and changing Carla's last name after they marry, while one of Ted's band members quits. Dr. Cox angrily blames J.D. for a patient's death and dismisses him, but Ben calms Dr. Cox down and talks some sense into him, and he eventually forgives J.D. It is revealed in the end it was actually Ben himself who had died: the gathering everyone prepares for turns out to be Ben's funeral.
  15. My Tormented Mentor — Dr. Cox is struggling to recover over Ben's death, and doesn't seem to appreciate J.D.'s efforts to help his situation; this is exacerbated by Jordan's self-absorbed friends staying in his apartment. Carla attempts to teach Todd, Dr. Kelso and Dr. Cox about sexual harassment, and a new female attending surgeon, Dr. Miller, puts the head of everyone in the OR in a spin.
  16. My Butterfly — The wings of a butterfly can influence even random chances: this episode revolves around two alternate storylines, sharing the common influences of a butterfly's landing on cleavage, Turk's lucky dew-rag (head-scarf), a Snickers bar Carla sits on, a stuffed pink dog that belongs to Elliot's young patient, the janitors' custodial closet, and another patient's heart problems. Also, a flashback from the janitor reveals how he decided to become one.
  17. My Moment of Un-Truth — Carla has dinner with a doctor she used to have a crush on, only J.D. knows about it and is sworn to secrecy. Elliot tries treating a patient who's adamant about not taking drugs for treatment, but can't believe it when Dr. Cox labels him a drug addict. The janitor plays an elaborate ruse on J.D. and Turk about having a twin brother.
  18. His Story II — Narrated from Turk's viewpoint: Turk realises mailing out the wedding invitations is the last major step before he gets married. A later distraction with Dr. Miller during surgery causes nerve damage to a young concert pianist, to whom he can't admit his mistake. J.D. covers Elliot's stint as a hospital clown, only to have the janitor as a sidekick. A patient's advice to Elliot makes her realise just how good a friend J.D. has been: her feelings take charge and they end up sleeping with each other again; a surprise visit by Sean afterwards has her leaving with him.
  19. My Choosiest Choice of All — J.D. is rather unhappy with the latest situation with Elliot: as revenge, he finds himself back together with a more dominant Danni. Dr. Cox finds himself liking Dr. Miller a little too much to be comfortable with it: Jordan picks up on it immediately. Turk and Carla encourage the janitor for a promotion as a security guard, but he's forced to play by Dr. Kelso's rules as a consequence. Sean later confronts J.D.: he lies for Elliot's benefit and denies the fact anything happened between them. Guest-stars The Polyphonic Spree.
  20. My Fault — J.D. and Danni apathetically break it off again; Sean and Elliot plan to move in together. Carla freaks about all the last-second details for the wedding just a few weeks away. Dr. Cox makes a bet with Dr. Kelso against healthy patients taking full-body MRI scans, only the first patient to sign up is the hyperchondriac Mr. Corman. After so long, J.D. finally comes clean about his feelings to Elliot, only to realise he doesn't want he has been covetting for so long after all.
  21. My Self-Examination — Carla's brother Marco returns for the wedding rehearsal; Turk runs into trouble writing his own wedding vows. After asking Danni and her new partner for advice, J.D. resigns himself to the fact he might as well stay in a relationship with Elliot even if he doesn't love her. Jordan refuses to fight with Dr. Cox for their son's sake: frustrated, he makes a mistake antagonising the janitor. At the rehearsal, moved by Turk's improvised vows, J.D. finally admits to Elliot he doesn't love her. Cameo appearance by Larry Thomas (the Soup Nazi from the Seinfeld series).
  22. My Best Friend's Wedding — The day of Turk and Carla's wedding. Turk is delayed in a tricky surgery, and when he finally finishes he ends up at the wrong church. The ceremony is cancelled, but the reception is held regardless; Danni seems popular, as does the open bar. J.D. finds Sean and tries to convice him to get back with Elliot; she guesses this and while Sean and Elliot won't work out, her glacial attitude towards J.D. thaws slightly. Turk and Carla are married when they return to hospital to check on a patient who just happens to be a priest. Cameo appearance by George Takei.
