File mover (add request)

I work with images frequently, mostly logos and other nonfree media. Many-a-times, I notice them having bad filenames, and would like to rename them myself. Lynch7 07:07, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I frequently work with new editors and oftentimes encounter images that have been uploaded with improper filenames. I would like to just go ahead and change the name myself, rather than either letting the funky filename go or contacting another editor. Having this user right simply expedites the process. I work with files a lot and have troubled many editors, mostly Armbrust, aksking them to move files. Even today I have nominated 4-5 files for a rename and randomly work with Special:Random/File looking for files to be renamed. Also, I have created a backlog at Commons with around 50 files to be renamed. I would like to just change the name myself. And as Cindamuse said, having this user right simply expedites the process Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 17:10, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done for here, not for commons, of course! :) Skier Dude (talk) 17:18, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
