Alkiviades "Alki" David (born May 23, 1968) is a digital media entrepreneur notable for his early adoption of social media as a marketing vehicle, such as FilmOn with the community called Battlecam. Mr. David is currently involved in web video and event productions. He had previously also appeared in some productions for TV and cinema.

Background and family

David was born in Lagos, Nigeria, to a Greek Cypriot family. His father, Andrew A. David managed the Nigerian Coca-Cola bottling company. Alki David attended Le Rosey and the Royal College of Art.[1].

He is currently married to Jennifer Stano, a model and swimsuit designer. Alki has been divorced twice and has two sons from his first marriage.[2].[3]

Business

Following his graduation from Royal College of Art, David relocated to California in 1991, where he worked for a video post-production facility in Beverly Hills for several years.

David's main project today is FilmOn, a video-on-demand website and mobile Service which is an extension to his 111Pix distribution venture that makes video content available through several delivering methods.

In August 2010, Alki offered cash to the first person who streaks in a legal manner in front of US President Barack Obama with the name of David's website "Battlecam" written across the bare chest. Although a man did streak at a rally and was sentenced to probation, apparently the man failed to comply with the rules of the Battlecam.com challenge. [4]. The man appeared again in February on a Battlecam Special Event performing Mixed Martial Arts.[5]

In June 2011, Alki organized a video game stand-off inviting several people of the YouTube gaming community, such as WoodysGamertag, Whiteboy7thst, Freddiew, WingsofRedemption, xJawz, Onlyusemeblade, Seananners, and the Halo A-Holes. He offered to personally fly them to Beverly Hills via private jet, and placed $10,000 on the line for the winner of the tournament.

Following aforementioned gaming tournament, Alki has promised to strip down to a Borat-esque bikini and rub down Wings of Redemption. It will be livestreamed via FilmOn.
