Winton Capital Management is a hedge fund founded by David Harding in 1997 in London, England.[2] The company is ranked the 16th largest hedge fund in the world managing $17.7 billion as of 2011.[3][1]

Investment Vehicles

The Winton Futures Fund was Winton's launch fund. The fund's investment strategy is managed futures. In 2008 it was reported that the Winton Futures Fund was reported as one of the most profitable funds.[4] Winton Evolution Fund is a multistrategy fund expanding the scope of Winton Capital's strategies to include equities and swaps.[5] Winton Octo Fund is a long/short equity fund

The year that Winton Capital was launch in 1997 it ranked as the 55th largest hedge fun with assests reported as $7.4 billion. Then in 2008 having not been largely impacted by the financial crisis assests increased to $11.4 ranked the company in 52 place. In 2009 as other hedge funds losts assets Winton Capital saw assests raise $1 billion ranking the company 23rd largest with $12.4 billion under management.[6]The following year Winton Capital ranked 16th.[6]
