"In the Dark" is a song recorded by American recording artist Dev. The song was released as a single on April 26, 2011 as a digital download in the United States and serves as the second single released from her upcoming debut studio album The Night the Sun Came Up. It will be released in the UK on 5 August, 2011.
Music video
A music video to accompany the release of "In the Dark" was first released onto YouTube on 8 July 2011 at a total length of three minutes and forty-five seconds.[1]
Critical Reception
Lewis Corner of Digital Spy gave the song a positive review stating:
"Tell me baby if it's wrong/ to let my hands do what they want?" she purrs in her sensual and sultry tones, accompanied by that saxophone hook spicier than a extra-hot peri peri chicken from Nandos - and, we should add, just as lip-lickingly addictive. "I got a sex drive to push the start," she repeats before asking her fella to "surf her seas", prompting the response, 'Oh love we get it, you don't live your life like a saint!'.
