Club career

Pedro joined hometown club Málaga in 2006, before joining Atlético Madrid in 2008.[1] He spent two years in the youth ranks before being promoted to the C-team in 2010, and after a good campaign was called up to the first team for pre-season training in the following year. Pedro exceeded expecations under the command of Gregorio Manzano, scoring six times overall and earning a place on the bench for both Europa League games against Norwegian side Strømsgodset IF. He went on to spend the season playing in the Spanish third division with Atlético's B-team.[2]
