GSLV F04 was the fifth flight of the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle which launched the INSAT-4CR satellite. It launched on September 2, 2007. The launch was a partial failure and the satellite's thrusters had to burn enough fuel to restore it to the correct orbit. There were reports that the satellites thrusters had burned enough fuel to decrease its life from 10 years to 5 years. However ISRO dismissed them that they were false.[1]
