Mike White initially came to fame when - in a series of articles in the pages of his Cashiers du Cinemart fanzine[1] - he took director Quentin Tarantino to task for failing to credit director Ringo Lam's, City on Fire (1987 film) as an influence upon his making of Reservoir Dogs.[citation needed] White claimed that many key elements of Reservoir Dogs were borrowed from City on Fire (1987 film), a claim he later attempted to illustrate via his own short film, "Who Do You Think You're Fooling? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HgbSAL8OKY), while Rotten Tomatoes did the same via one of their "Homage or Stealing?" features (http://current.com/shows/the-rotten-tomatoes-show/92405892_reservoir-dogs-homage-or-stealing.htm).

More recently, White began his own film podcast, titled The Projection Booth.

White also recently released a collection of his Cashiers du Cinemart articles and interviews in book form as Impossibly Funky: A Cashiers du Cinemart Collection.
