Hello, Ian, and welcome to editing on Wikipedia. Thanks for the work you have recently done on the article about St Bertoline's Church, Barthomley, a most important and interesting church. As you will see, I have made some modifications to what you have done to fit the style of Wikipedia. As it is an encyclopedia, everything in it must be verifiable from published sources (one's own knowledge is not enough) and everything should be referenced. I have done this where I can from the (I guess relatively new) church website. It can be a bit complicated to do things "properly" on Wikipedia, but when you have learnt the "rules" it is good fun and very satisfying. If you would like to read more about what I have said above, have a look here and here. Good luck, and enjoy your Wikipedia editing.--Peter I. Vardy (talk) 11:43, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ian R R, please acquaint yourself with the rules for editing Wikipedia. Do not remove sources or factual information unless it is demonstrably false. If you are unsure about a statement, please add a citation tag. JustResignGC (talk) 02:35, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I should add that starting an edit war on the school's Wikepedia page isn't a clever thing to do. It will be obvious to anyone who looks at the history that someone of importance in the RHSA is misbehaving, hardly something that will put your association in good light. Ian R R please do not start an edit war. If you remove the information again or re-insert your email address I will report you. JustResignGC (talk) 20:28, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ian R R, I will not continue with this. I am reporting your behaviour to the WP authorities. JustResignGC (talk) 21:15, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Warring

Your recent editing history at Royal Hospital School shows that you are in danger of breaking the three-revert rule, or that you may have already broken it. An editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Breaking the three-revert rule often leads to a block.

If you wish to avoid being blocked, instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. You may still be blocked for edit warring even if you do not exceed the technical limit of the three-revert rule if your behavior indicates that you intend to continue to revert repeatedly.
