City Road is a road in central London, usually referred to by Londoners as "the City Road".

In the west it starts as the continuation of Pentonville Road and continues south-east till it meets North Road, when it bears south, and meets Old Street. Past Old Street it continues south, and becomes Moorgate at the border with the City of London.

The part of the road north of Old Street is on the London Inner Ring Road and as such forms part of the boundary of the London Congestion Charge zone. The ringroad continues east down Old Street.

Nearby London Underground stations are Angel, Old Street and Moorgate. The disused City Road tube station was on City Road itself.

The road is mentioned in the nursery rhyme Pop Goes The Weasel.
