History
MonsterMMORPG was started in 2009, by Turkey Furkan Gözükara. The game was started as a graduation project of computer engineering but later the developer continued developing the game. Game is still at open beta phase 2012 yet fully functional as final production. Developer continuously working on developing game and adding new features.
Gameplay
MonsterMMORPG is about catching, battling and transforming monsters.[5] Each player starts the game with picking up a Starter Monster and Overworld Trainer image.[2] Starter Monster can not be changed during the gameplay but can be released to wild. Overworld Trainer image can be changed any time from settings. Players starts at the Central Plains maps to their journey. For moving on the page, players can use keys W, A, S, and D or the arrows keys of the keyboard.[6] There are also arrow keys on the game screen for moving. For fluent moving keep pressing W, A, S, and D or the arrow keys is required. For battling and catching monsters, there are various ways of encountering with wild monsters but most common and available at the beginning of the game is searching grass area.[6] When player roam on the grass area, the player will encounter with different wild monsters according to map. Player can try to run away from the wild monster or battle with it. For running away player need to have a not-fainted monster in the team which is faster than the appeared wild monster. When battling player can catch wild monster via using monster boxes. The chance of catching wild monster increases as the monster's hit points decreases. Each defeating of wild monster or catching it will give points to the player battled monsters.[7]
Monsters
As of 9 January 2012, there are 659 different monsters in the game.[8] Monsters are composed of 7 classes. These classes are Starter - Regular - Superior - Emissary - Zenith - Legendary - Ancient. Starter class is between Emissary & Zenith class by the power. Zenith, Legendary & Ancient classes are rare monsters and hard to find in the game. Their encounter rates are significantly lower than other classes. Starter class monsters are not available in the wild to catch. You can filter monsters by their classes at MonsterDex page and see where they are available to catch or not available to catch.[9]
When a player catch a wild monster, it becomes kind of unique in the game. What causes this uniqueness are; the nature (Total 100 natures available and directly affecting stat values) of the tamed monster, unique values of monster (UV values directly affecting monster stats), training points of monster (TP values directly affecting monster stats). UV values are never changed after monster tamed and they are randomly assigned. UV values are obtained via training (battling with other wild monsters) or using items (can be bought at the shop). So with the combination of nature, UV values and TP values each monster in the game are being almost unique.[7]
Buildings
There are 3 building types in the game. First one is Monster Center which is used for healing Monster in the team or put team monster to your store or take a monster from store to your team (if you catch a wild monster when your team has 6 monsters it automatically sent to your store). Second building is Shop Center. At Shop Center players can buy items from NPC, can sell items to NPC, can buy items from auction, can put items to sell at auction (certain price), can buy monsters from auction, can put monsters to auction (certain price), can trade monsters with other players.[2][10] Third and last kind of building is Monster Arenas. At the maps page you can see available maps and the maps that are containing Monster Center, Shop Center and Monster Arenas. Monster Arenas are empty right now.[11]
Chat
Game has a build-in chat system. It allows players to chat in their local language.[2] Chat system supports 32 different language rooms. Players can navigate via just clicking language flag on the screen. Chat screen is located at the main game page. So players can chat while roaming in the maps [12]
PVP
Players are able to do PVP matches.[2] You can hover your mouse on the player overworld image and click Offer PVP Battle link or open player profile and send PVP match request from there or open pvp matches page and type player name and offer from there. Once the player got the PVP match request, a button will appear at the game page. When the PVP request taken player accepted match and the PVP request sender moved on the map or refreshed page they will be both directed to the PVP match screen.[13]
