Da Capo III (〜ダ・カーポ III〜, Da Kāpo III) is an upcoming adult Japanese visual novel developed by CIRCUS. It is the third installment of the popular franchise Da Capo, after D.C~Da Capo~ and D.C II~Da Capo II~. The production of Da Capo III was announced by CIRCUS in 2009, set for release within Japan on April 27, 2012 for the PC. It is not clear whether the company MangaGamer - the publisher for many visual novels - had reserved the right for an English-translated version. The game will also be playable on Android devices such as tablets and phones. Da Capo III will spawn two editions on its release: a D.C. III ~Da Capo III~ First Press Limited Edition and a D.C. III ~Da Capo III~ Standard Edition. CIRCUS said the game is priced at ¥9,800 (around $127 US), presumably for the Standard Edition.

CooRie and yozuca* will once again return as the artists for Da Capo III main themes. Terakawa Aimi and Mimori Suzoko are to perform all the other theme songs. [1]

The first trailer of Da Capo III had been released, featuring CGs of the new D.C III cast as well as its opening theme sung by yozuca*.

Cast

The cast was officially announced during a special event at Akihabara on Friday 18th of November, 2011.Nico Nico Douga streamed the event live on its website. The footage is currently still available for viewing. [2] According to the Da Capo III homepage, the game will feature an entirely new cast from the originals. [3] The main character is Yoshida Kiyotaka, a 2nd year high school student. Until the game's release, the relationship between Yoshida Kiyotaka and the past characters of the Da Capo series will remain hidden. The announced cast is as follows:

  • Emi Nitta as Morizono Rikka

Newspaper club's President / school idol. Yoshida Kiyotaka's sempai.

  • Miyazaki Ui as Yoshino Sheryl (Charles)

Yoshida Kiyotaka's half-blood cousin.

  • Sasaki Mikoi as Katsuragi Himeno

The childhood friend of Yoshida Kiyotaka, whom he views like a sister.

  • Ōsaki Chiyo as Rukawa Sara

A pretty, hard-working student a year below Kiyotaka.

  • Kaihō Eri as Hinomoto Aoi

An energetic girl but without a strong physical condition.

  • Daisuke Kishio as Suginami

Kiyotaka's classmate. Cheeky, mature and intelligent.

Daisuke Kishio is the only returning voice actor for Da Capo III, having voiced Suginami in the past two Da Capo. The voice actor for the main protagonist, Yoshida Kiyotaka, is currently unknown.

Plot

The all year round cherry blossoms is a thing of the past, and now the island is normal. Our main character is 2nd year student Yoshino Kiyotaka, who is a member of the official newspaper club, along with his sempai the school idol Morisono Rikka (the club president), his sister-like childhood friend Katsuragi Himeno, his half blood cousin Yoshino Charles, the hard working kouhai Rukawa Sara, and the energetic and of weak constitution Hinomoto Aoi. Unlike in the past, nothing mysterious happens, but one winter day the cherry blossoms start to bloom and a mail reaches everyone's cellphone: "If the cherry blossoms start blooming, in the promised place..." with the mysterious date of 1951.[4]
