Lok Wah Estate

Lok Wah Estate (Chinese: 樂華邨, Jyutping: lok6 waa4 cyun1, Pinyin: Lèhuácūn) is a public housing estate located in northern Kwun Tong Town Central.

Geography

Lok Wah Estate is located in Chun Wah Road, northern Kwun Tong Town Central. It is divided into 2 parts: Lok Wah South Estate (樂華南邨) and Lok Wah North Estate (樂華北邨), together with 14 blocks of residential buildings. According to the District Council Election 2003, the estimated population in Lok Wah Estate was around 31500.

  • Sau Mau Ping Police Station, which is in 200 Hong Ning Road.

History

Lok Wah Estate was planned and developed at late 1970's and completed at early 1980's. Before that, another housing village, Fook Wah Estate (復華村), was located in the same site since 1950's, providing the provisional housing to labours working in the factories in Kwun Tong.
