Calicut University Institute of Engineering and Technology is located in Tenhipalam, Malappuram district, Kerala, India. It was established in 2001-2002 and is managed by and affiliated to the University of Calicut. The school's main campus includes 10 ha (25.17 acres) with a library, audio visual and reprographic center, science and instrumentation centre, canteens, guest house, seminar complex, staff quarters, hostels for students and working women, "play grounds" and gymnasiums.

Diksha fest is a South Indian technical and cultural fest conducted by the CUIET. The event is scheduled between November 18–20, 2009 and gives an opportunity for young college students showcase their skills and win prizes worth up to Rs 1.5 lakhs.
