Geography

Which is the Mandal comes under Kadiri Constitution. one of the largest Mandal in Anantapur district. Transportation: Road transport: Anantapur-Chennai National Hiway(207) pass through the Tankal Rail transport: Railway station also there Guntakal-Tirupati line passes through. Education:

High School: Sri Govindu Narashimha Reddy Govt High school

College:Sri Govindu Narashimha Reddy Govt College Kokkanti and Kokkanti cross are two majore Villages. Tanakal is mostly drought prone area. fortunately there is CG Project. Cultivations:Tomato,Ground nuts,Mize, sunflower, Vegetables etc. Banking:State Bank of India, Grameena bank and Society banks are there.
