MPG

Can someone please post up the mileage per gallon (Imperial or US) for this vehicle. 69.142.228.176 02:48, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's too early to tell since it won't be available for a couple of years. If it is intended to compete with MINI, it should get significantly better mileage than anything currently offered by Audi (or VW for that matter).~ Dusk Knight 03:22, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It would be time now to add fuel economy. Skyemoor (talk) 12:45, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merging

As an unregistered user, I don't know where to suggest this otherwise. I believe that this article should be merged with the Audi A2 under the heading of "Replacement" to clean up the current speculation on the A2 wiki.

The A1 is/will be a completely different model to the A2 and should have a separate article. However, the "Replacement" section of the A2 article should be updated with the latest information. Letdorf 09:45, 7 August 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Shooting Brake

Why has this section been added? This car has its own article and is not directly related to the A1, being a Typ 8J TT-derived concept. Letdorf (talk) 09:43, 2 October 2008 (UTC).[reply]

Relations

Does anyone know if this car will be related to any of the VW groups other Superminis eg. the VW Polo, Seat Ibiza, Skoda Fabia.(82.3.46.83 (talk) 17:04, 1 April 2009 (UTC))[reply]

The A1 is said to be based on the PQ25 platform [1] which is also used by the 2008 Ibiza (6J) and 2009 Polo (Mk.5). Letdorf (talk) 17:56, 1 April 2009 (UTC).[reply]

"Spiritual successors"

Determining which car model should be considered a "spiritual" successor/predecessor to another is not really something that can be established objectively, so there isn't always one true answer to this question. The Template:Infobox automobile documentation states this field should list previous/following models from the manufacturer in the segment or similar, so there's no reason we can't list both the 50 and the A2 here. New engine

The "sportback" variation (at least) will be instrumented with a new 140 bhp petrol engine with "cylinder on demand". Would be nice if somebody knowledgeable could add (to) this... (I don't have any reference, got it in personal email correspondance with Audi Norway) 129.241.249.6 (talk) 13:50, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
