Rollback

(add requestview requests)

For the purposes described in WP:RBK#When to use rollback, e.g., speedy undoing obvious vandalism. —glossologist (talk) 22:20, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
FYI: I've been already using the rollback feature for almost two years at the Russian wiki. —glossologist (talk) 20:55, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) Just a reminder, user-rights and experience on other wiki's do not carry much weight on other projects. Mlpearc (powwow) 21:17, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. You have little to no recent experience fighting real vandalism here on Wikipedia. If you want the rollback tool, show us that you need it! Go to Special:RecentChanges and make 50 or so vandalism reverts, either with the undo function, or the userscript, Twinkle. Once you have done that, come back and request the tool again. -FASTILY (TALK) 12:08, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Seems to be done. —glossologist (talk) 00:12, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am already a Rollbacker in ptwiki (where I use Huggle to fight vandalism) and I wish to experiment the differences between Wikipedia:STiki and Huggle. Rollback rights would be very useful. Chico Venancio (talk) 06:25, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) Your last obvious reversion of vandalism was in October 2007. Dishing out an only warning for this was not appropriate; however, your other reverts from 2007 seem fine. Pol430 talk to me 17:37, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, mostly I've been away from vandalism fighting over here for a long time. I've no clue why I gave a single warning, might have been because of the previous month block on the same IP.
The main reason I've requested Rollback rights is to experiment with Huggle and STiki (STiki specially). I'm trying to help with adapting STiki to ptwiki and having some use of it seems to be essential to fully understand it. If my status as a Rollbacker in ptwiki and my past vandalism fighting here is not enough for an admin to trust I'll not misuse the flag I'll try to do some reverts here (tough I've apparently forgotten how to do it the old fashioned-recent changes way) Chico Venancio (talk) 14:14, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Since STiki works without rollback rights I've gone ahead and started doing some reverts. Hopefully this is enough. Chico Venancio (talk) 23:12, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
My entire Wikipedia account is dedicated to Gnome work. I actually do enjoy cleaning up vandalism. Please consider granting me the Rollback feature. I would greatly appreciate it. I also plan on using the Huggle tool to help me fight vandals even better.WheresTristan (talk) 19:25, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) This revert should not have been labeled as vandalism. Nor should this—which looks more like a good faith test edit. Other than that, user has a fair bit of recent vandal fighting experience with TW and warns users appropriately. They're probably good to go... Pol430 talk to me 17:52, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Reason for requesting rollback Dalisays (talk) 22:56, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to request rollback privileges. Recently, I have been responding to vandalism on the University of Hawaii page, and I think that it would be much easier to do so---as the vandalism continues---if I had the privilege. I think you will see after reviewing the article's history--that my contributions as such evidence my ability to judge the appropriateness of claims relative to sources provided. Dalisays (talk) 22:56, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

(Non-administrator comment) Only three edits to the University of Hawaii page (which did not concern the removal of obvious vandalism) combined with highly conservative use of the edit summary (56% for non-minor edits) conspire to make identifying this users' counter-vandalism experience difficult. I can't see any. Pol430 talk to me 17:59, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Pol430! Thanks for looking into my request. The University of Hawaii article and the University of Hawaii at Manoa article (the former I forgot to include in my original post) have recently been protected due to the vandalism. I would encourage you to look at my contributions to University of Hawaii at Manoa, in this regards going back to late February (considering as well that some of my contributions were rollbacked by others in the process of rolling back the actual vandalism). Dalisays (talk) 05:26, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have requested and been denied 8 times. This time I have more edits (340), more reverts (100), more experienced (1month) and recently I have been a lot more accurate. I have made only 1 mistake in reverting someone's sand box edit. I am really sorry about this, but please note even experienced users make some mistakes. I have not made any big/major mistakes since Friday. UserWOLfan112 Talk 15:04, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not done per this ANI discussion. Salvio Let's talk about it! 09:57, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have been reverting vandalism with Twinkle for about a month now and issue warnings depending on the severity of the vandalism. I have also reported vandals to WP:AIV. AndieM (Leave a message!) 14:21, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done Although I'm granting the rollback flag to you, I'll request you to kindly read WP:VANDALISM and WP:NOTVANDALISM once more. I've noticed you tend to tread on the safer side while marking an edit as vandalism, but especially with edits like this, you have to correctly mark the same as vandalism as it allows appropriate and timely blocks to be placed on the vandals. Thanks. Wifione Message 03:25, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just read it. Thanks for the permission and the note! AndieM (Am I behaving?) 12:04, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have been fighting vandalism with twinkle for a while now, but I feel that the capability of Huggle will be far more useful in fighting vandalism, allowing me to combat vandalism more effectively.
