Kalin Shtarkov (Template:Lang-bg) (born on 20 May 1984) is a Bulgarian footballer who currently plays for Vidima-Rakovski Sevlievo.
Career
After his youth career in Levski Sofia's youth academy, Kalin was loaned to Levski's satellite team Levski Dolna Banya. He played as left midfielder or winger then. After a season there, Shtarkov spent several years in Rodopa Smolyan, Levski Sofia's second team, Rilski Sportist Samokov and FC Chavdar Etropole. He changed his position on the field to left defender. With PFC Chavdar, Shtarkov achieved Bulgarian Cup 1/2-final in 2010. After a great 2009/2010 season, Kalin became a free-agent.
Levski Sofia
After 8 years, mostly in second division teams, Shtarkov finally returned to Levski Sofia. He signed for his parent club on 25 May 2010 as a free-agent. On 30 June 2010, Kalin made his unofficial debut for Levski Sofia in a match against FCM Târgu Mureş, entering the match as a substitute. He made his official debut for Levski Sofia against PFC Kaliakra Kavarna on 22 August 2010 in a 3-0 home win.
Levski Sofia qualified for Europa League group stage and was drawn in Group C, facing Gent, Lille and Sporting CP.
Shtarkov made his official European debut i 1-0 home win against Sporting CP. He made a great match, defending perfectly the left side of the field.
Vidima-Rakovski
On 29 January 2011, Levski Sofia's management decided that Kalin should spend a six-month loan period in PFC Vidima-Rakovski Sevlievo.
In the summer he was released from Levski Sofia and in October 7 he signed 2-years contract with PFC Vidima-Rakovski Sevlievo.
