TOSY Robotics is the first Vietnamese robots manufacturing company [1] best known for the development of TOPIO - a robot that can play ping-pong with humans.[2] The company's slogan is FUTURE ROBOT.

  • In 2002, TOSY was founded.
  • In 2005, TOSY made its first step towards robotics with the project to make a humanoid robot called TOPIO.

TOPIO

TOPIO ("TOSY PING PONG PLAYING ROBOT") is a bipedal humanoid robot capable of playing ping-pong with a human being, developed by TOSY from 2005 and publicly demonstrated at the Tokyo International Robot Exhibition on November 28, 2007.[9] TOPIO 3.0 (the latest version of TOPIO) stands approximately 1.88 m tall and weighs 120 kg.[10]

TOPIO Dio

The lightweight TOPIO Dio (125cm, 45kg) is a service robot that offers special added-value to customers in the Hospitality & Restaurant industry.

TOPIO Dio has a 3 wheel moving platform, 28 degrees of freedom and can be operated from anywhere with a built-in camera and an obstacle detector. His free movement and flexible hands help him become a special assistant to people in need.
