BJJFan

Hi Niteshift, I want to start updating some of the bjj fighters information on wiki.what would wiki consider reliable sources? I mean the only reliable source of bjj information seems to be from articles and news web sites spread out through the internet. Here are some examples: [1], [2] , [3], those are the major online news for bjj and mma in the world. They publish monthly magazines as wellI mean would you consider those reliable sources? If not we have to shut down every major bjj competitor, because most information come from these sites. Also I've notice some fighters are adding the tournament results and fight records, in which are detailed information about their matches, what do you think about that? --Bjjfan232 (talk) 03:17, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Niteshift as a proud former Force Recon Marine (1st Force Reconnaissaince Co) (15th MEU),with proud service in Iraq and Afghanistan and the person who has been editing the "Westies" site...I don't appreciate a fellow soldier calling me names and insulting me. You need to get your shit together like a REAL soldier and work this out with me like an adult.

I noticed that you been editing the Gang article . I just created a Portal (Portal:Gang) I need your help. If you have time, Can you help add some content to my portal. I would appreciate it, Thanks.--Zink Dawg -- 06:44, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Our earlier disputes

I've left a warning to Gamaliel about his edit warring, so I obviously have to clarify that the same applies to you. If you revert again, I'll have to block, obviously. I do appreciate that you've gone to the talk page. If you're right that others also oppose the content Gamaliel is adding, you shouldn't have to revert next time (assuming there is a next time) because someone else can. A beer for you!

No worries, Niteshift--I was happy to back you up there (that was easy anyway, since you were right). Man, some people need to get out more, so they don't have so many words left when they get here. Cheers! Drmies (talk) 22:48, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NSPORT Revert

To answer your question "where was that discussion?" – there was none. There are approximately two active members of a very small Wikipedia:WikiProject Triathlon. This change was made based on my knowledge of the sport and after reviewing a past AfD that cited this aspect of NSPORT. Do you have a knowledgeable opinion on this change, or know of another Wikipedia group that would, other than the project triathlon group? For what it's worth, I created the existing text and language that you currently see under WP:NSPORT#Triathlon. BarkeepChat/$ 19:07, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am a member of the project. I would have noticed a discussion had there been one, which is what confused me. The last time I posted anything on the projects talk page, it got no response. There was also nobody participating when I started a discussion at the NSport talk page about the standards for triathletes except me and an editor who really didn't know much about the sport. [4]. So when nobody discusses it anywhere and then makes changes to the standards, yeah, I ask where the discussion was. Niteshift36 (talk) 21:37, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I probably could've posted the proposed change on the Project page, but usually when I ask questions on prominent triathlon articles' talk pages I get zero response. I (perhaps incorrectly) assumed I would've received the same as well there. As for the old NSPORT#Triathlon discussion, I missed that one as I don't monitor that page. I'll take a look at the archived discussion that was had back in October and weigh if needed. BarkeepChat/$ 21:51, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Input?

Hey Nite I wondered if you might have any suggestions, or input for my article on MSNBC Controversies . You seem to be up on the News artcles, and I thought this might be up your ally. Thanx Jetijonez (talk) 04:57, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, fine by me. Let's move on. ~ Kimelea (talk) 21:12, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Secret Service

Hello Mister. In good faith I can not come to understand why you did go and do a revise on an edit that I did on the Secret Service. The discourse in the box said something about neutrality. I do not understand. Netural means to take a view of one side or another side, right? [Pardon English is not my favourite best language]. There is neutral delivery in my post. I take no sides. There are no sides. There are just things that the Service people have done. We just explain that the service does have scandals. And there are many and they take place for a long time. That means. If we want wiki to be true knowledge, you need to talk the facts. I talked the facts. Please forgive English. I learn and do more for the edit than for this message. Assalaam alaykum my friend.
