Luca Garri (born January 3, 1982 in Asti) is an Italian basketball player. Standing at 207 cm and weighing 109 kg, he plays as center. He currently plays for Pallacanestro Varese.

Career

His career started in 1999 playing for Zucchetti Montecatini, the following year he moved to Mabo Prefabbricati Livorno, where he spent four years until the transaction in 2004 to join Lottomatica Roma.

However his first year in Rome wasn't very easy so he was loaned to Angelico Biella in the following year. After a year in Piemonte Garri returned to Rome. For the 2007-2008 season, he moved to Virtus Bologna; the following year, after a disappointing season, he returned to Biella with a three year contract. Garri is a dynamic player with skills both in the paint and on the perimeter, where he has the ability to have a good three point range.

National team

Garri played for Italian national team at the European Juniores Championship in 2000 (4th place), in 2002 he participated at the European Championship Under 20 (11th place). He won a silver medal as a member of Italian roster at Athens 2004,[1] and the following year he won Mediterranean Games in Almeria, Spain. In 2006 Luca participated with his national team at the World Championship
