Fawzi Bashir Rajab Bait Doorbeen, most commonly known as Fawzi Bashir (Arabic: فوزي بشير), (born 6 May 1984) is a Omani football midfielder who currently plays for U.A.E. club, Bani Yas. He has been an active member of the senior national team since the early turn of the millennium. Fawzi has been a very key player for the Oman national team, as well as his club team in playmaking and scoring. He joined the national team at a very young age of 17 and from the very beginning was a member of the starting line-up. Bashir has held the number 10 shirt since 2001 as well. He competed in qualification for the 2002, 2006, and the 2010 World Cups. He also competed in the 2004 Asian Cup, and in the 2007 Asian Cup, as well as the 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2007 Gulf Cup of Nations.
