Rollback

(add requestview requests)

Bored of typofixing, I want to use IGLOO Arcandam (talk) 03:00, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment)You are not removeing a lot if vandalism, the tool is used to remove vandalism with. You have almost only used "AWB" to edit. --Simeondahl [This user is patrol] (talk) 07:45, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not done I'm not bothered about the use of AWB only, but you have only been actively editing for the last day even though your account is over a month old. I suggest going through a week of editing before you request rollback again. Best. Acalamari 08:03, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Have always combated vandalism since my starting to edit on Wikipedia, in June 2011, old school style. Approved for Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser three weeks ago, but after successfully downloading, I am unable to access it. Recently employed STiki, but do not enjoy the random revisions flung at me. That feels a little as I would imagine a call centre operates. I do like to warn users when appropriate and Wikipedia:Huggle seems to fit the bill. -- Gareth Griffith-Jones (talk) 23:20, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

(Non-administrator comment) User seems to have a fair understanding of Wiki and Vandalism. MrLittleIrish (talk) © 10:53, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

(Non-administrator comment) Good no. of edits using Stiki. ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 11:29, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

(Non-administrator comment) User has good number of reverts but started using STiki just today(my local time).I would suggest a few more days with the tool. Most of the previous reverts were self-reverts on his talk and some pages. Srikar Kashyap<<Talk>>16:30, 4 May 2012 (UTC) [reply]

  • Gareth Griffith-Jones (talk)  – Not true! I must correct this latest posting. It is completely inaccurate: I have been using STiki off and on since April 15, 2012 – but neither today, nor yesterday – and my remarks about how I feel about using STiki are quite clearly stated above. It is for those reasons that I am making this request for permission to Rollback, and to be able to use Huggle instead. One could hardly employ both. -- Gareth Griffith-Jones (talk) 17:57, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not done; I'd like to see you using Twinkle and STiki for a few more days before giving you rollback - you've only been using them for 2 days from what I can see. Keilana|Parlez ici 00:16, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I stopped using STiki on 2 May, which is I thought was clearly explained here in my opening paragraph. I have no wish to return to STiki, but would like to be able to employ Huggle. -- Gareth Griffith-Jones (talk) 11:20, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done I stand corrected on the Twinkle point, and I apologize for not being as thorough as I could have been. I've granted you Rollback - good luck with Huggle. Best, Keilana|Parlez ici 18:06, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not a vandalism patroller, but a number of the pages on my watch list regularly attract vandal edits and spam, so the extra tool would be useful. I've been here since 2005 and made 20,000+ edits across the Wikiverse, so I think I know what I'm doing. DavidCane (talk) 21:40, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not done - You have little experience in dealing with vandalism. I appreciate that you're not a regular vandalism patroller, but you need to show that you understand what vandalism is first. ItsZippy (talkcontributions) 18:49, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's not clear to me why you think I have little experience in dealing with vandalism or why I might not understand what it is. A comparison of edit summary search results for "vandal" on User:DavidCane and on User:Adam mugliston, to whom you have granted the tool below, shows I have logged a greater number of vandalism reverts over a longer period of time than the he has. What objective criteria do you use in your assessment that I have little experience of dealing with vandalism, but he has more?--DavidCane (talk) 01:54, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done - Fair enough. I am not comparing you to another user, but you do have a decent anti-vandalism record. ItsZippy (talkcontributions) 21:16, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you.--DavidCane (talk) 21:30, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to be able to make use of Huggle in addition to Twinkle and STiki that I currently use Ankh.Morpork 16:37, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment)I can't find a better candidate for Rollback.Srikar Kashyap<<Talk>>16:43, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment)User has a history of falsely labeling good faith edits as vandalism [1] and reverting good faith edits without giving an explanation in the edit summary [2], [3]. Dlv999 (talk) 18:33, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
When I have accidentally slipped up (twice), I have then provided an explanation to the user. This is a good thing surely? I have also used dummy edits that this editor is ignoring. This editor was blocked for edit warring yesterday, a decision I supported, so is mischaracterising my behaviour.Ankh.Morpork 18:39, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I am aware, an apology or even an explanation to Oncenawhile was never forthcoming. Dlv999 (talk) 18:45, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) I cannot find any justification in giving User:AnkhMorpork permission. Totally unsuitable. -- Gareth Griffith-Jones (talk) 18:55, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
@Ankh, why do you feel the need to throw mud around and fail to AGF? Particularly unseemly seeing as you added the comments against me after I had responded to your post [4]. You know full well I raised these legitimate concerns with you long before yesterday [5], [6], [7] Dlv999 (talk) 21:42, 11 May 2012 (UTC).[reply]
Not done - Sorry, but you have often labelled good faith edits as vandalism, which is not appropriate if you want to use rollback. ItsZippy (talkcontributions) 17:22, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm requesting for Rollback privlieges so it'd be easier to revert vandalism. I have been using WP:POPUPS and I've been reverting vandalism prolifically for more than a week. I believe I can be trusted with the tools because I only use popups to revert edits that are obviously unconstructive/vandalistic and I know how to warn vandals with the appropriate warning templates. Want to use it for Hubble and I am currently quite active in being an RC Patroller so this tool would really help me to fight vandalism and revert it much more easily. FishingKing, fighting to keep Wikipedia factual. (talk) 16:02, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have been using Twinkle for rollback and other moderation purposes recently, and would really like to give Huggle or other equivalents a try. I understand if my edit record seems novice, my account is from 2007 but I have been mostly lurking until more recently. Bananastalktome (talk) 22:11, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
