Madikonda is a major village in the Warangal district of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, India. you can reach here, this town lies adjacent to National Highway 202 when travel from Hyderabad to Warangal. This is nearest city to Warangal it is 3 kilometers from Kazipet junction.

Mettu Gutta (Rocksteps Hill) is a famous Hindu temple that is located in Madikonda. It is famous for lord shiva temple and it is also known as dakshina kashi (southern kashi). People admire for the greatest natural wonder here with big rocks are piled up on top of one another showing as a victory 'V' symbol (as similar to the pointing finger and middle finger in the air), this is about 200ft of height and can be visible to surrounding places of 30KM in radius. This village has a population about over 50000 people and there are many people from this village in all around the world. Famous Scholars like Sri Padmavibhooshan Kaloji Narayana Rao Garu, Sri Aacharya BiruduRaju Rama Raju, Anumula Krishna Murthy, Anumula Narsimha Murthy, Madhusudhan Rao, Kona Maruti, Laxman Raj came from Madikonda.
