Jason Dearborne is a Saskatchewan Party MLA of the Saskatchewan Legislature.

He was elected in the riding of Kindersley in a by-election in 2002 and re-elected in the Saskatchewan General Election of 2003.

Incident

He gained notoriety for stating in a public meeting in February 2005 that the Premier of Saskatchewan, Lorne Calvert, should be shot for implementing a plan of restructuring school divisions.

Kevin Yates, NDP Caucus Whip, expressed shock and dismay at the conduct of Jason Dearborn, Sask Party MLA for Kindersley. He had called for Dearborne's resignation.

Saskatchewan Party leader, Brad Wall had reacted by stripping Mr. Dearborn of his critic and committee responsibilities. Dearborne apologised to Calvert in the Legislative Assembly.
