Wack Pack

Upper Sandusky is home to the Wack Pack, a joke political party started by Jordan Swihart and Logan Lawrence while urinating before lunch. What was originally intended to point out the absurdity of student government actually ended up winning every position in the first election it had candidates running.

The administration of USHS opposed the Wack Pack, so much that several school elections were fixed by the school to give positions in student government to non-Wack Pack members. When evidence of the rigged elections surfaced, two teachers and a guidance counselor were forced to resign. Said guidance counselor ended up killing herself by jumping off of one of the town's water towers located only a few hundred feet from the school.

Today the Wack Pack has chapters in over 10,000 high schools across the United States and Canada, and has also expanded beyond high schools and has begun some activity as an actual political party.

The Rock

Notorious in Upper Sandusky is "The Rock," a large rock in front of Upper Sandusky High School. Intended to be painted for purposes of raising school spirit, it almost immediately fell prey to vandals. Some of the messages left on the rock include "SUCK MY ASS," "PENIS IS GOOD," and "VAGINAS SMELL."
