House of Gold & Bones - Part 1[1] is the fourth studio album by American rock band Stone Sour, and is the first part of a double concept album. It was recorded simultaneously with House of Gold & Bones - Part 2, and together, the two albums tell the story of a young man faced with the choice of staying an adolescent or becoming an adult. It's the first Stone Sour album without bass player Shawn Economacki, who left the band in 2012.
