Paltalk is a subscription or banner-supported chat application for voice and video chatting. Users can subscribe for a fee to get full motion video and audio chat without advertisements. Categorized chat rooms are also offered, with the most popular being finance, religion, distance learning, politics, culture and music chat rooms where people play and/or sing songs. Chat rooms have a queue system which allows users to "raise their hand" and wait in line for their turn. Users can also chat with their buddies from MSN, Yahoo!, ICQ, and AIM/AOL messengers on one platform.

Paltalk has more than 4 million users and thousands of video chat rooms. Users can publish live video from their webcams and see each other in real-time. With the newest version of Paltalk Chat, users get hundreds of new smileys, they can chat with video overlays (animations that work with webcams), and nudge while chatting with their buddies.

Paltalk is used on the Opie and Anthony Radio show. The pair have a camera set up in the studio and often talk about it on the show.
