Introduction

Pashtane(पष्टाणे) is the village famous for religious people's village. which having more than 600 yrs history. Pashtane(पष्टाणे)is the famous village in the Tehsil(Taluka) Dharangaon area. situated nearly 30Km from District place Jalgaon and 7 km from Tehsil Place Dharangaon.

Geography and climate

Pashtane(पष्टाणे) is on average 400-450 feet above sea level. As the Satpura Mountain Range just 30 km to the north, the bedrock is on an average 15-20 feet below the ground level. The soil above the bedrock is very good for the farming in areas. Mostly villagers are Farmers, Farming is the main source of earning. Average rainfall is 550 mm[8]. The climate is hot for most of the year. Maximum temperature reaches up to 46°C in summer and minimum temperature fall up to 8°C in the winter. Pashtane village shares its boundary with Gangapuri, Dhanore, Anore, Garkhede, Tarde, Sonvad, Ukhalwadi, Kharde, Salwa, Hanumantkhede, Vaghlud, Chavalkhede, Pimpri etc.

Population

Having nearly 5000+ population, divided in to 2 sub villages 1 is Pashtane Bk.(पष्टाणे बुद्रुक) and another is Pashtane Kh.(पष्टाणे खुर्द) but still both villagers shares there happiness, sadness, problem together without having any problem.

Pashtane village have the school from KG to 10th class, named "Madhyamil Vidyalay Pashtane", also having the Preprimary and Primary school named "Adarsha Vidyamandir Upkendra Pashtane, which are famous in the region. Pashtane also having governemt Hospital named "Prathmik Aarogya Kendra Pashtane".

Festivals

Pashtane Village also celebrates Yatra 2 times in a year after every 6 month. both yatra are very famous in the Taluka. first yatra's Name 'Navnath Yatra'. and Second is 'Bhavani Mata Yatra'. Both village also celebrating its 'Kirtani Saptah' from continuously 70 yrs.

1. Aappaso, Naval Narayan Thakare (Patil)-(1931-2011) - Famous as talented, religious and spiritual knowledge of person and mainly famous for his Unique family which having more than 40 people in family and living uniquely.

2. Dadaso, Nilkant Bhika Patil- Famous for high Political and Educational Background, he is the First Sarpanch of vilaage and region too, who ruled continously 40yrs as a Sarpanch of Pashtane.
