The sentence: "Of all the radiation-chemical reactions that have been studied, the most important is the decomposition of water." is the sort of vague, subjective statement that doesn't belong in Wikipedia, in my opinion. The "Citation needed" tag isn't enough. I am going to revisit this page shortly and remove the sentence unless I see convincing arguments here that it needs to remain.
This is totally out of my area, but a major news source reported radiolysis as a possible source for possible life on the planet Mars: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/15/AR2009011502222.html Chouhouzi (talk) 17:41, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
The discussion of hydroxide radical and hydrogen radical and hydroxide ion and hydrogen ion is either wrong or needs further explanation. This does not make sense. a hydrogen ion is H+ what is a hydrogen radical??? is it H3O+ ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.162.0.42 (talk) 16:53, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
