Etheostoma obama is species of speckled darter (a kind of fish) that was formerly named Etheostoma stigmaeum. In 2012, five distinct species were renamed after former U.S. presidents and a vice-president. E. obama was named after Barack Obama, honoring him for his environmental work.

E obama has orange and blue speckles, with a bright fan-shaped fin that has orange stripes. The males reach up to 48mm long.[1]
