Marie Forleo

Marie Forleo is a best-selling author, speaker, web TV host, and trainer in personal development, entrepreneurship and marketing ^[1]. Her book, Make Every Man Want You: How to Be So Irresistible You'll Barely Keep from Dating Yourself!, is published by McGraw-Hill in 11 languages ^[2]. Her company focuses on creating entrepreneurship and personal development training ^[3].

Starting Out

Forleo was born and raised in New Jersey. She attended Seton Hall University [1] and graduated Valedictorian with degree in business finance.

After college, Forleo worked on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange [2] as a trading assistant before leaving to work at both Gourmet Magazine [3] and Mademoiselle Magazine [4].

Forleo began working as a life coach in 2001 ^[4].

In 2004 she began working as a hip-hop instructor at Crunch Fitness [5], worked as a choreographer and producer for MTV’s Say What Karaoke [6] and began creating fitness videos with Crunch, Anchor Bay Entertainment [7], Women’s Health Magazine [8] and Prevention magazine [9].

Forleo has been interviewed by Tony Robbins [10] ^[5] for his DVD training program The New Money Masters ^[6]. She was also named a “thought leader for the next generation” by Oprah [11] ^[7] when interviewed on the OWN Network’s Super Soul Sunday ^[8].

In 2010, Sir Richard Branson invited Forleo to mentor young entrepreneurs in South Africa at his Center of Entrepreneurship [12] ^[9] .
