Per Nilsson is one of the guitarists and founding members of the Swedish melodic death metal band Scar Symmetry. He is also the guitarist for the Swedish progressive rock group Kaipa and joined the American melodic death metal band The Absence as a permanent member in January 2013, having earlier produced their 2007 album Riders of the Plague. Currently he is endorsed by and exclusively uses Ibanez guitars.[1] He plays seven-string and eight-string guitars primarily, but uses an Ibanez JEM 6 string in the studio for most of the lead guitar parts. [2]
