Alon Carmeli (born December 19, 1964) is an Israeli businessman, best known as the CEO of Babylon, which is traded on the TASE.[1] In 2012 Calcalist financial news site ranked Alon Carmeli as one of Israel's 50 best CEOs.[2]

Early life

Alon Carmeli spent his formative years in Haifa, Israel.{CN} Alon is the son of Amos Carmeli, a Sokolov Award (2000) winning, journalist and Tamar Carmeli an international medalist who has participated in lawn bowls, paralympics, international championships and tournaments for the blind. Carmeli attended Hebrew Reali School of Haifa. Carmeli holds an Executive MBA from the Tel Aviv University Tel Aviv, Israel where he graduated with honors receiving a BBus the Business College, Tel Aviv.[3][4]

As of 2012, Carmeli was a lieutenant colonel in reserves[citation needed], having served in the Israeli Air Force between 1983 and 1991.[citation needed]

As of 2012, Carmeli resides in Herzliya. Carmeli is married and has four children.[citation needed]

Business ventures

Carmeli , apart from being the CEO, is a board member of Babylon Ltd and is a board member of InnerActive Ltd.[citation needed]
