Fred Freeman

Fred Freeman was a commercial artist in New York City from the late 1920's through the 30's. He made many illustrations and magazine covers for publications including The Saturday Evening Post and Collier's.

His work for Colliers included contributions to the series Man Will Conquer Space Soon! which details Wernher von Braun's plans for manned spaceflight.

Freeman later worked closely with Braun, illustrating their 1960 book First Men to the Moon wich told the tale of John Mason, a fictional astronaut of the future bound for the moon.
