Robert Edward "Teddy" Turner IV is the son of media mogul Ted Turner. A graduate of The Citadel, Turner is presently a high school economics teacher and a Republican candidate for Congress in South Carolina’s 2013 special election.[1][2][3] Turner announced his candidacy for the office held by Congressman Tim Scott the same day Scott was appointed to fill Jim DeMint’s seat in the United States Senate. [4][5] In contrast to his father's outspoken liberal political views, Teddy considers himself to be conservative. [6] He has criticized his father's views, particularly on environmental issues, during interviews with Fox News Channel program hosts Bill O'Reilly and Neil Cavuto. [7][8][9]
