The 2013 Big Ten Conference Men's Basketball Tournament will be held from March 14 through March 17 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.[1] All 11 games will be aired nationally on ESPN, ESPN2, the BTN and CBS Sports. BTN will carry the first two games on Thursday, and ESPN2, the final two games of the evening. On Friday, ESPN will broadcast the first two quarterfinal games, while BTN will air the other two game. CBS will televise the semifinal and championship games on Saturday and Sunday. The tournament champion will receive the Big Ten Conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Tournament.
Seeds
All 12 Big Ten schools will participate in the tournament. Teams will be seeded by 2012–13 Big Ten Conference season record. The top 4 teams received a first-round bye. Tiebreaking procedures [2] are unchanged from the 2012 tournament.
Seeding for the tournament will be determined at the close of the regular conference season:
