Definitely not light.
This article claims: '...The alloy is used in dentistry and artificial joints, because of its light weight....' . This is misleading since 'light weight' is a comparative description and other alloys used are less dense. Titanium for example is about half the weight of this alloy. Even stainless steel is about 10% lighter than this alloy. Vitallium has plenty of noteworthy attributes, but being 'light weight' is not one.
