Plot

J.D. is the only one not in a relationship and he is feeling a little lonely and left out. His luck may be changing when he starts interacting with Jamie Moyer (Amy Smart), the wife of a comatose car accident victim. Her nickname is T.C.W., Tasty Coma Wife. Her husband has been on life support for the last two years and she has visited him every Wednesday since he began his stay at Sacred Heart a month ago.

All the other couples, Turk and Carla, Cox and Jordan, Elliot and Paul and even Dr. Kelso and Ted, seem to be arguing every other second. Carla finds out from Ralphie that he swallowed her engagement ring and it came out the other end. Turk had of course neglected to tell her that when he presented her with the ring. When she confronts him about it, Turk accidentally swallows it trying to demonstrate that because he had it steam cleaned three times, he isn't afraid to put it in his mouth.

Elliot, trying to add some spice to her and Paul's sex life, puts a blindfold around his eyes to hide the surprise in the bedroom, but he ends up banging his shin against a table, requiring stitches. Later, they get into an even bigger argument when Paul declines Elliot's invitation to take a bite of her turkey jerky. Cox and Jordan are back to sniping at each other, even more so now that the baby is here.

J.D. ends up going to a bar to have some beers. His unlikely companion is Jamie. She agrees to be bait to attract hot, sexy girls to J.D. She later surprises him by showing up on his doorstep. She immediately puts the moves on him. For once, he doesn't react to it. He asks her to think about what she's doing.

He decides to go out with her. When he tells everyone, they of course give him a hard time. That's when he blows up, chastising each of them for criticizing him, but not realizing how lucky they are to have relationships.

Their dinner goes really well and Jamie asks him back to her apartment. He really would like to, but he also realizes that she probably isn't ready to really start a relationship, so they part ways.

And J.D. is left how he started, alone.
