David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute is an English-language highschool located in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada.
School History
Opened on September 2, 1958, this school is located in the heart of historical Scarborough. Named after Scarborough's first white settlers, David and Mary Thomson. They were pioneers, who had a large family, and remains are found in the close-by Thomson Park. The land David and Mary Thomson is located on is owned by ansestors of the Thomson family.
Courses Offered
David and Mary Thomson C.I is located in Toronto, where a prodominatly business oriented sector is located. Therefore, Thomson has a wide variety of business courses. As well as business, social sciences, and science are also offered here.
Sports
David and Mary Thomson have a very active athletic program. Led by Thomson's Athletic Council, Thomson's best athletic endovor is Rugby.
