Fascist Rectors translation glitch?

Maybe just my ignorance, but I just wonder where the English rendering of Podestà as "Fascist Rectors" came from. It's a term I'd associate with university rectors [1]. 86.171.162.156 (talk) 09:22, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose the English name comes from the word "rettore", used in Medieval Italy in alternative with podestà, as is correctly stated in the forst paragraph of this article: [2]. Saluti. --Broletto (talk) 12:01, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
